GIRL! We are having a little, baby girl. We're so excited - nervous, but excited! And the ultrasound tech said she was 98-99% sure that it was a girl, so we've already went ahead and bought some bedding and "Daddy's Little Girl" bibs.
Update on me and the baby: I first felt the baby move on August 11 - it was such a cool feeling. Now I feel her moving all the time. I love it! The baby weighs 11 ounces, which seems big based on what I've been reading, but she measured 19w4d, so I guess that's not too far off. 11 ounces is the average for 20 weeks, so I'll stop stressing now.
Our little Lady Lua was moving around during our ultrasound. She was moving her lips a lot - DH says that means she is going to talk nonstop - just like her mom. It made me laugh.
DH and I spend time reading to the baby and talking about our future with her in our lives all the time. It makes me feel like I really did choose the right life partner.
We also did some shopping. We have our furniture ordered and it will be here in late September. We also bought a few other things, and basically emptied our baby account. But that's what it's for. Oh, we also started our registry this past weekend. We aren't telling people where we're registered or anything yet. We just wanted to get started so we'd have time to really pull it together.
The most exciting thing is that we're things are starting to pick up. DH and I are traveling this month, next month is the fun "4D" ultrasound, November is our babymoon and classes, December is more classes and the holidays, January is weekly visits to the OB and then it's go time.
I know it's been quite some time since I last posted. I don't know why. I've been under a lot of stress and generally not thrilled about stuff outside of the pregnancy (e.g. work). However, I couldn't be happier about the baby.
Oh, and here's the latest picture of Lady Lua:
I'm thankful for: Having a little girl! We love knowing the baby is a "she" and we love her more each day!
